MACULAR DEGENERATION

MACULAR DEGENERATION

One of the leading vision impairments in maturing adults is macular degeneration, which is caused by damage in the retinal pigment epithelium that connects to the macula portion of the eye.

Components found in New Zealand Cassis may be able to inhibit the H202 damage that leads to Macular Degeneration

STUDIES SHOW H202 DAMAGE MAY CAUSE MACULAR DEGENERATION

A study conducted by Saint Mary’s Eye Clinic, Seoul, determined that hydrogen peroxide (H202) within the body induced the destruction of the retinal pigment epithelium, and was a leading cause of macular degeneration. Fortunately, Cassiss anthocyanins have been recognized as an inhibitor of oxidative stress and hydrogen peroxide damage within the human body.

NEW ZEALAND CASSIS COMPONENTS COMBAT H202 DAMAGE

A study tested the ability of numerous fruit extracts and teas to eliminate free radicals and H202 within the body. The New Zealand Cassis extracts showed impressive results in inhibiting H202 damage, and the results were nearly three times greater than the ability of bilberries.

The Vision Smart Center is devoted to researching the antioxidants, phytochemicals, and anthocyanins found in New Zealand Cassis berries, and due to it’s ability to combat H202 damage; these components been used in a complete line of macular degeneration, and vision health supporting nutraceutical products.
